ackgroundThe company was founded by Barbara and Don Hopkins when they joined the Gallery of Homes in late 1976 and purchased our current business site at 340 Arsenal Street.
In 1986, the Carthage branch headquarters was purchased and remained in existence until March of 1991.
In September of that year, we became HOMEQUITY RELOCATION CENTER.
Then, in the Spring of 1992, we left Gallery of Homes and became affiliated with the Better Homes and Gardens franchise on June 1, 1992.
In January of 1985, ‘a new generation of professionals' began with the proud leadership of Barbara and Don's son's wife, Beth Hopkins; who assumed the role of Office Manager and Licensed Affiliate Broker.
After 10 years of understudy, the responsibility of Broker/Owner was passed on and the Better Homes and Gardens franchise would become ‘three generations of professionals' with the GMAC Real Estate franchise under Beth Hopkins' ownership.
