Relay for Life
Cancer is a tragedy that touches the lives of millions of Americans each year. It is a terrible disease that brings pain and suffering to the patients as well as their loved ones. Some of us here at Hopkins Homes have had the misfortune of experiencing that pain. We wanted to help, to make a difference.

The American Cancer Society has many programs designed to raise funds for the fight against cancer. The Relay For Life is one of these programs. It is designed to be a fun-filled overnight event to celebrate survivorship and raise funds for research and programs of the American Cancer Society. Teams of people gather for these events. Each teams attempts to keep at least one person on the track at all times.

Several years ago we formed our own relay team. Our staff looks forward to these events and our opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer.

National Kidney Foundation
We just recently had our first walker in the local Kidney Foundation Walk held at the Thompson Park in Watertown. A member of our staff recently had a family member experience kidney removal and is on the kidney transplant list. We are supporting him in his new involvement with the Kidney Foundation.
